Color near the collar
This was the jacket I grabbed before dinner. The color looks good beside the pale fleece around the neck. That part really works for me.
Leather and fleece together
I almost passed on this color at first. The contrast between the leather outside and fleece inside is really satisfying. I'm glad I tried it.
Leather has a soft feel
The fit was the thing I was most unsure about while choosing my size. Checking the measurements was worth the extra minute for me. The real leather has a smoother hand feel than the heavy coat I usually grab. The black gives the trucker shape a slightly dressier feel. The waist detail keeps the lower part from looking completely boxy.
The shape at the waist
Most mornings I'm wearing jeans, so that's how I tested this one first. The waist detail keeps the lower part from looking completely boxy. The sleeve ends could use a little more room over heavy cuffs.
Fleece on the inside
I left it on for a while after sitting down at a restaurant. That tells me more about comfort than walking around a bedroom mirror. The sherpa lining is what makes it feel different from my plain leather jacket. I only wish it felt a bit less warm once I got indoors.
A cooler evening layer
I put it on for a relaxed evening. The fleece helps it feel substantial on cooler evenings. Glad I didn't talk myself out of it.
Feels substantial
I tried this with a pair of chinos. The sherpa interior makes it feel more like a cool-weather jacket. The small details add up nicely.
Sleeve ends stay put
I like that it goes with older clothes. The cuff snaps keep the sleeve ends from hanging over my hands. I'm glad I tried it.
Collar worn open
I wasn't looking for something too formal. The shirt-style collar sits naturally when I leave the top button open. I'd wear it for errands again.
Collar feels cozy
I wore it on a fairly long drive over the weekend. The fleece at the collar feels cozy without making the whole front look puffy. Nothing about it felt awkward while I was out.
Chest pockets
I notice pockets more than most people do. The chest flaps add some character without taking over the front. I'll keep this in regular rotation.
The pocket arrangement
When I first tried this on, I spent more time looking at the shape than the color. I didn't expect the pocket layout to be as practical as it is. The bottom buttons take an extra moment to line up.
Noticeable shoulder detail
I put it on for a coffee run that turned into a couple of hours out. The chest yoke is the feature I notice most when it's on a hanger. I felt comfortable the whole time I was out.
Feels inviting to wear
My usual outfit is plain, and this was a nice way to change things up. The lining feels inviting when I put it on over a light shirt. The collar is warmer than I need for a quick indoor stop.
Fleece around the neck
I bought it for days between the seasons. The collar has enough fleece showing to make the jacket look warmer. That was a nice surprise.
The buttoned front
I wanted something that wouldn't feel out of place at a casual get together. The button front gives it an old-school trucker look that I actually like. I'll probably keep it by the door for easy mornings.
Side pockets make sense
I always check the pockets before deciding if an everyday jacket is useful. I don't love carrying a bag for every little errand. The side pockets are in a place that makes them comfortable to use. I wasn't sure about a fleece-lined collar at first, but it grew on me. I can see myself wearing it again next weekend.
Room for the basics
I picked this one mostly because I wanted a different fabric in my wardrobe. I like being able to carry my keys without filling up my pants pockets. That's enough to make me reach for it again.
The front details
I saw myself in a photo outside and noticed the jacket looked different in daylight. Sometimes the mirror at home doesn't tell the whole story. The buttons and flap pockets suit the jacket better than a bunch of zippers would. The black gives the trucker shape a slightly dressier feel. I can see myself wearing it again next weekend.
An inside phone spot
I tend to notice sleeve details more than other people probably do. They're right in front of me whenever I'm driving or reaching for something. The inside phone pocket means I don't have to keep digging through my jeans. I wouldn't pick it for a warm afternoon, even though I like the look.
