Exactly the material I wanted
Angel Jackets listed the material as faux suede, which was what I wanted. I prefer that fabric for a casual jacket, and the soft lining is nice against thin sleeves. The light brown shade makes styling simple.
Brown with olive works
This jacket surprised me with how well it goes with olive pants. I normally pair olive with black, but this softer brown looks better next to my boots.
Takes a moment to zip
The material is pleasant and I love the soft light brown shade. I do find the front zipper takes a second to line up when I'm in a hurry. Once it's closed, everything sits smoothly.
Better than my usual concert hoodie
I wore this to a small concert with a tank top and dark jeans. There was no reason to dress up, but I still wanted something other than a hoodie. The asymmetrical zip gave the outfit a little personality. I left the jacket on for the entire show and appreciated how easily it moved with me.
A different neckline
Most tan jackets in my closet have big collars. I like how this one sits differently at the front, especially with the off-center zipper detail when it's worn half open.
Not too heavy for errands
I expected the jacket to feel heavier because of the biker style. It's actually comfortable for errands and coffee stops, where I'm constantly going indoors. The faux suede is soft, and the lining doesn't catch on my sleeves.
Easy with bracelets
The zip cuffs are handy when I wear bracelets. I open them getting dressed, then close them just enough that the sleeves sit where I want, without catching on anything.
Made my basics more interesting
I bought this because my everyday outfits were getting a bit boring: the same jeans, the same sneakers, the same hoodie. The jacket makes those clothes feel different without changing everything else. I like how the faux suede looks in natural light, and the angled closure is easy to spot. It has become my Friday afternoon favorite.
A closer fit at the waist
I ordered my usual size and the shoulders are fine, but the waist feels closer than I expected when fully zipped. Wearing it open works well, so I'm keeping it for lighter outfits.
Good over a button-down
I like leaving the front open over a white button-down. The brown panels frame the shirt nicely, and the zip cuffs keep my sleeves looking tidy, even after rolling them down.
Comfortable in the car
Some of my older jackets twist when I reach for the steering wheel. This one feels easier through the shoulders with a regular tee underneath. I also like that the collar stays out of my way while driving.
Changed my outfit last minute
I had a denim jacket picked out for an outdoor family gathering, then switched to this at the last minute. The light brown faux suede went better with my checked pants, and the lining wasn't scratchy over my short sleeves. My aunt even asked about the unusual front zipper. I liked having something different without needing an entirely new outfit.
Pocket depth is my only note
I wish the outer pockets were a touch deeper for my phone. They work fine for smaller things, and I keep the phone inside instead when I'm walking around downtown.
Mom noticed the zipper
My mom asked why I needed another brown jacket. Then she saw the asymmetrical zipper and said she understood. It is noticeably different from my plain zip coats, especially with the front open over a sweater. The leather feels super soft and looks great on.
Just the look I wanted
There's a little motorcycle influence without making it look like riding gear. I just wanted something fun for everyday outfits, and this does that nicely, especially with sneakers.
Movie-night switch
I threw this over a striped dress before heading to a movie. Normally I reach for denim, but the faux suede looked better with the darker stripes. It also folded neatly over my chair during the film.
Cuffs need a little room
I really like the shape of this jacket, especially when I leave the zipper halfway up. The one thing I would change is the cuffs. They're a bit narrow around my wrists when fully closed, so I usually leave them partly open. It doesn't spoil the look, and the lining still feels comfortable over my cotton shirts.
Texture makes the difference
That brushed tan texture changes how the jacket looks in daylight. It's not completely flat or glossy, which makes even my oldest blue jeans look nicer without buying anything new.
Little pockets, big help
I don't like carrying a big handbag when I go out. Having several outside pockets and one inside gives me places for my keys and card holder. I still use a bag sometimes, but not every time.
Good with wider pants
Finally, a jacket that works with my ankle boots and wide pants. The hem falls in a good spot on me, and the front doesn't bunch, even when I sit down for coffee.
