Rehearsal dinner ready
Wore this to my son's wedding rehearsal and felt so elegant. The deep red color photographs really well. It's surprisingly warm across the back and shoulders even though the arms are open. Easy to slip on and off at the restaurant too.
Feel graceful again
Bought this as a treat after a long, hard year, the kind of thing I'd normally talk myself out of. Wearing it makes me feel graceful in a way I haven't in a while. Silly maybe, but that's worth a lot. It's warm and the fabric is lovely too.
Copied my aunt
My aunt has had this cape since last winter and every family gathering someone asks her about it, so I finally ordered my own. It arrived in about a week, nicely folded with tissue. It looks every bit as good on me and I'm a completely different build than her, which I think is the beauty of a cape. Her one still looks brand new after a full season, so I'm not worried about durability.
Strangers stopped me
Wore it to a fall festival and three different strangers stopped me. The color is like red wine in the evening light. Feels dramatic in the best way. Honestly obsessed.
First cape since the seventies
I am 70 and haven't owned a cape since the seventies. Lovely to have one again. It is easy to slip on, doesn't press on my shoulders, and the small gold clasp is very pretty.
Wish for a lower snap
Good quality for the price. The wool blend is dense and the hem is finished neatly all the way round. I'm 5'4 and it lands about mid calf, which looks right. The clasp is decorative more than functional though, it holds the neck closed but the rest stays open, so on cold mornings I add a long cardigan underneath. Would have liked a hidden snap lower down. Still very happy with it overall.
She spun in the kitchen
Got this for my girlfriend because she kept pinning capes on her Pinterest board. She opened it, put it on and spun around in the kitchen like a kid. Honestly worth it for that alone. She's worn it to work every day since.
Sister can't borrow it
Obsessed!! got it in 5 days and wore it out that night. pairs so good with black boots and jeans. my sister already asked to borrow it and i said no lol. fits everyone basically since it's a cape, i'm a size 8
Holding up well
Had it since late last winter and I've worn it a lot. No pilling, color hasn't faded, the clasp is still tight. I hang it on a wide padded hanger so the shoulders keep their shape. Very good value for something I wear this often.
Something more special
Second purchase from this site after a leather jacket last spring. I wanted something a bit more special for the colder months and this delivered. The finish on the edges is really clean and the small gold fastening at the collar is a cute touch. Came well packed.
Bridesmaid cover-up
My best friend got married this month and I wore this over my bridesmaid dress for the outdoor photos. Everyone kept asking if it was part of the wedding look. It kept me warm through an hour of pictures by the lake and looked stunning in every shot.
An autumn piece
Really nice, but I'd say it's an autumn piece rather than proper winter wear. Once it got below freezing I needed a thick sweater with sleeves underneath and gloves. For crisp sunny days though it's perfect and so much more interesting than a regular coat.
Such a relief
I'm plus size and finding outerwear that doesn't feel tight around the arms is a nightmare. This was such a relief. It drapes beautifully, nothing clings, and the length is flattering. I've had more compliments this month than from any coat I've owned.
I tie the panels
Lovely cape. The only thing is the scarf panels slip off my shoulders a bit when I'm moving around, so I've started tying them loosely at the front. Looks intentional and keeps things in place. Otherwise very warm and the fabric feels high quality.
Hit the mark
Gave this to my wife for her birthday. She's into anything a little vintage and this hit the mark. She wore it to the opera the next week and looked like a movie star.
Not costumey at all
Was nervous a cape would look costumey but it really doesn't. It reads elegant and grown up. I wear it with a turtleneck and straight trousers for work and it gets noticed every single time. The clasp at the neck is sturdy too, hasn't come undone once.
More wearable than expected
I'd been eyeing capes for a couple of years but always talked myself out of them because I wasn't sure I could pull it off day to day. Finally went for it and I'm so glad. It's much more wearable than I expected. Over jeans and a white tee it looks relaxed, over a dress it looks properly elegant. The arm slits mean I can still hold my coffee and phone without any trouble.
Covers without the bulk
I dress modestly and this is perfect for me. It's long, loose, and covers well without looking heavy or shapeless. Wore it over an abaya to a family event and my cousins all wanted the link. Very comfortable for sitting through a long evening.
Five for looks
Beautiful piece and the quality feels good, thick fabric, neat edges, lined properly. A couple of honest notes though. It's not ideal on really windy days because the front is open and the panels flap around a bit, so I pin one side down with a brooch. Also you need gloves since your forearms are out. For mild fall days and evenings out it's lovely. Four stars for practicality, five for looks.
scarf bits are the best
one size worry gone, a cape just drapes so no stressing about the chart. the long scarf bits are my fave, i wrap one around my neck on cold days. so cozy
