The lapels sit well

The lapels sit flat and roll up properly instead of curling forward the way the last one I owned did. It gives the whole thing some presence without being loud about it. I am fifty eight and it does not feel like something aimed at a much younger man, which is harder to find than it should be at my age. My wife noticed straight away.
Good for the money

I have owned suits at three times this price and honestly the gap is not three times. The fabric is not quite as fine and the buttons are a touch shinier, but the cut is good and the finishing inside is tidy. For something you wear to weddings and the occasional pitch, it does everything the expensive one did and I worry about it far less.
Easy to pack

Folded it into a cabin case for two nights away and it came out with almost nothing in it. Hung it in the bathroom while I showered and the few marks that were there dropped out within the hour. That is all I ask of a suit I have to carry with me rather than wear on the way. It went back in the case afterwards just as easily.
Wore it to dinner

Not just for weddings. I have worn it to a couple of dinners with the tie left at home and it does not look like you have come straight from a funeral. Fastening only the top pair of buttons keeps it looking relaxed enough for that.
Chest pocket is handy

Small thing but the chest pocket is cut at a decent angle so a folded square actually stays put rather than sliding down out of sight by the secound drink. The two inside pockets are deep as well, phone in one and wallet in the other, and the front still hangs flat with both of them loaded, which is not something my last suit managed.
Six buttons take practice

Good suit and the fabric is better than the price suggests. Only thing is the six button front takes a moment to line up properly, I fastened the wrong pair twice before I got the hang of it. Sounds silly written down but it is a real thing if you are rushing out the door.
Photos came out well

My brother got married and I was in most of the pictures. Navy photographs a lot better than black, there is no odd sheen under the flash and you can actually make out the shape of the jacket rather than a dark blob. The lapels give it some structure in the shots. Happy with how the whole day turned out and with how I look in the album.
Warmer than I thought

It is a heavier cotton than I was expecting, so for a summer wedding I would think twice about it. For anything from about autumn through to spring it is spot on and I have not needed a jumper underneath even on a cold morning. I was suprised by the weight when I first picked it up out of the box.

Back pockets stay empty

Sharp enough for work

I needed something for client meetings that did not look like every other navy suit in the room. The double breasted front does that. I have worn it three times in two weeks and it still looks pressed. The lining is thin enough that I am not sweating by lunch.
Bulky under a coat

No issue with the suit itself, it is well made and the fit is good. Worth knowing that a double breasted front adds bulk across the chest, so my usual overcoat is tight over it now. I wear the coat open and it is fine, but it caught me out the first cold morning.

Wore it to a christening at the weekend and got asked twice where it was from. My father in law was the one asking, which never happens. Comfortable enough that I forgot I had it on by the afternoon. The trousers sat right on the waist all day too.

Wore this from eight in the morning until nearly midnight at a work function and never once thought about it. That is the highest praise I can give a suit. The back vents mean it does not bunch when you sit down, which is where most of mine let me down. Still looked presentable in the photos at the end of the night.

Shoulders are the one thing you cannot fix at a tailor and these landed exactly where they should. No divot, no overhang. I went by the chest measurement on the size guide and it was accurate. Everything else was a quick hem and it was ready.
