Side pockets make sense
I wanted something that wouldn't feel out of place at a casual get together. The side pockets are in a place that makes them comfortable to use. It felt just right for the kind of day I had.
The pocket arrangement
I always check the pockets before deciding if an everyday jacket is useful. I didn't expect the pocket layout to be as practical as it is. The sleeve ends could use a little more room over heavy cuffs.
Noticeable shoulder detail
I picked this one mostly because I wanted a different fabric in my wardrobe. The chest yoke is the feature I notice most when it's on a hanger. The overall look is relaxed, which is how I usually dress.
Color near the collar
I tried this on right after opening the package. The color looks good beside the pale fleece around the neck. That was a nice surprise.
Chest pockets
I tried this out over the weekend. The chest flaps add some character without taking over the front. So far, it's been a good pick.
The shape at the waist
The part I keep looking at isn't even the main feature. The waist detail keeps the lower part from looking completely boxy. It gave my regular outfit a slightly different feel.
Sleeve ends stay put
I wasn't expecting to like this style. The cuff snaps keep the sleeve ends from hanging over my hands. I'll keep this in regular rotation.
A little waist adjustment
I chose this over a heavier coat. The waistband buttons give me a bit of adjustment at the bottom. It's a simple thing, but useful.
The buttoned front
Wore it on a random weekday when I wasn't planning to dress up. It handled an ordinary day without needing any outfit planning. The button front gives it an old-school trucker look that I actually like. I was nervous this color might be too bright, but it wasn't. The leather surface catches daylight in a way my matte jackets don't.
Leather and fleece together
I tried this with black pants first. The contrast between the leather outside and fleece inside is really satisfying. I really enjoy that little detail.
Fleece around the neck
I wanted something different from basic denim. The collar has enough fleece showing to make the jacket look warmer. No complaints from me so far.
Yoke stitching
The fit was the thing I was most unsure about while choosing my size. The shoulder yoke stitching is noticeable up close but not loud. I kept it on indoors longer than I'd planned.
Leather in daylight
I tried this out over the weekend. The leather surface catches daylight in a way my matte jackets don't. It's been a pleasant little change.
The front details
I left it on for a while after sitting down at a restaurant. That tells me more about comfort than walking around a bedroom mirror. The buttons and flap pockets suit the jacket better than a bunch of zippers would. I only wish it felt a bit less warm once I got indoors.
Feels inviting to wear
I wore it out for lunch rather than saving it for an occasion. The lining feels inviting when I put it on over a light shirt. The collar is warmer than I need for a quick indoor stop.
Feels substantial
I tried sitting down in it straight away. The sherpa interior makes it feel more like a cool-weather jacket. That made the outfit work better.
A cooler evening layer
I wasn't sure about the material until trying it. The fleece helps it feel substantial on cooler evenings. I'm happy with how it turned out.
Snap cuffs
The color was a big part of why I clicked on this jacket. The snap cuffs are convenient once I get the sleeves where I want them. I'm particular about comfort, so I noticed that immediately.
Room for the basics
I wore it on a fairly long drive over the weekend. I judge jackets by whether I forget about them once I'm sitting down. I like being able to carry my keys without filling up my pants pockets. I wouldn't pick it for a warm afternoon, even though I like the look.
Fleece on the inside
A friend noticed the jacket even though I was wearing my usual basic outfit. I like that it can be interesting without drawing attention all day. The sherpa lining is what makes it feel different from my plain leather jacket. I noticed the cognac tone looks richer when I step outdoors. I didn't feel like I was wearing a costume.
