Held shape for two years

The listing images flatten the weave completely. In the hand you can see the herringbone and the flecks in it and it looks a good deal more expensive than it actually is, particularly in daylight.
Went to the tailor once

Only work it needed was half an inch off each sleeve. The tailor commented on the seam allowance inside, said there was plenty to work with and that most things he sees at this price have almost none. Cost me very little and it has been completely perfect ever since that day. Over a shirt on its own there is no issue with it whatsoever.
Worth what it cost

We looked at two at nearly twice this and could not work out what the extra bought you. The cloth here has weight, the seams are finished, the buttons are heavy. If there is a difference we have not managed to find it in a full year of wear. We have both stopped looking at the more expensive ones altogether now.

Not one has loosened in two seasons of being fastened and unfastened daily. They are shanked so they stand off the cloth rather than pulling at it, which is why. It is the least glamorous thing you can say about a jacket and one of the most useful. I was suprised how rarely it is actually true.

Structure without stiffness

There is canvas and shape in the chest and the shoulder, but it is soft rather than boarded, so the jacket moves with you instead of sitting on you like armour. I have worn it for ten hour days withuot wanting it off, which I could not say for the last one I owned by any stretch. Comfort in a jacket is badly underrated until the day you lose it.
Sleeve catches on a watch

No fault with the making. The sleeve is cut fairly narrow at the wrist, so a chunky watch catches when you push your arm through and the lining has scuffed slightly on that side. A slimmer watch solves it entirely, which is what I did in the end.
Cleaned and came back fine

Grey is a proper grey
