I like the jacket a great deal and this is not really a fault. Outdoors in daylight it is clearly green. Under office lighting it goes brown grey and reads almost like a dark taupe. It means matching it to trousers is guesswork, because whatever works at home may not work by the time you are indoors somewhere else.

It gets worn every day and it goes through kitchens, pubs and the back of a taxi, and it has never once come home smelling of any of that. Hung on a hook overnight and by the morning there is nothing left in it at all. There is no storm placket behind the zip, so on a hard morning you can feel a thin cold line running straight down the middle of the front where the teeth are. Good jacket and I am keeping it. The lower two pockets are open with no zip and no flap, so when you sit down in a car with your keys in one they end up on the seat. I have moved everything up to the flap pockets and stopped using the bottom ones for anything but hands. Easy enough to live with once you know.
Wind finds nothing

Stood on an open platform for twenty minutes with a shirt and a thin jumper under it and nothing got through. Between the zip line and the cloth there is no gap anywhere for air to work into, which is not something I could say about the fleece this replaced.
