A familiar snap front
The snap placket reminds me of jackets from high school, but the material feels different. The color-blocking works with my old jeans and a plain crewneck. The dark brown looks good beside cream sweaters and denim.
Not another denim jacket
I needed something for mild weather that wasn't another denim jacket. The cuffs stay put when I push my sleeves back to wash my hands. The soft dark color doesn't feel too bright for everyday use.
The striped cuffs
The stripes at the cuffs are a little touch I didn't think I'd notice. It has the familiar letterman shape without pretending to be team merchandise. Outside, you can see more of the texture in the deep brown.
Something different for basics
I mostly wear solid colors and wanted one jacket with a little more going on. The striped waistband doesn't stick out awkwardly over high-rise pants. That cocoa color feels a little warmer than black.
Varsity without patches
I wanted a letterman look without huge patches across the front. The faux suede body has a matte finish that doesn't look plastic. I wore it with tan boots and didn't need to match anything else.
Takeout and a walk
I wore it to get takeout and ended up keeping it on for an evening walk. The jacket keeps its casual feel even with darker pants and boots. The deeper shade works with my black jeans just fine.
Works with running shoes
I wanted a jacket that doesn't feel too dressed up with running shoes. The low side pockets come in handy when I'm waiting for a ride. My usual oversized hoodie felt unnecessary with this on top. My first outfit with it was completely unplanned, but I liked the result enough to wear almost the same thing again.
No extra puffiness
I was worried a bomber would be too puffy through the middle. There's a comfortable amount of room at the shoulders for a thin sweater. I like that the body reads chocolate rather than reddish brown.
Needs a quick lint brush
My friend and I both tried on varsity styles, and this was easily my top pick. I really like how the textured body breaks up an otherwise plain outfit. The faux suede attracts some lint from my scarf, but a quick roller brush cleans it right off with zero hassle.
Side pockets in the right spot
The side pockets are positioned where my hands naturally go when I'm waiting outside. I prefer the softer body fabric to the stiff canvas varsity jackets I've owned.
Campus day layer
I wore this on a college campus visit with comfortable shoes and jeans. The inside phone pocket keeps my screen from rubbing against my keys. There's no big logo to explain or match to anything. It also folds over the back of a chair without taking up the entire seat, which matters at our tiny lunch place.
A small pocket note
The ribbed waistband sits where I want it instead of riding up immediately. I wore it on the bus without feeling bunched up at the waist. The snaps take longer than a zipper when I'm rushing.
Changed my mind on snaps
I don't usually buy snap-front outerwear, but I liked this particular layout. I can leave the snaps open and still get a nice shape at the hem. I like the little bit of contrast visible at the cuffs. I've been trying to buy fewer one-occasion clothes, and this seems easy to wear for plenty of regular plans.
The faux suede body
The soft faux suede body looks quite different from a regular cotton varsity jacket. The rib-knit trim feels comfortable against my wrists with short sleeves. My beige scarf looks much better with this brown than with black.
Quick trip jacket
I wore it for a quick airport pickup and it was comfortable in the car. The polyester lining helps it slide on without twisting the shirt beneath it.
One less thing to carry
I kept my transit card inside and didn't have to hunt through my backpack. The sleeves give just enough contrast without needing any extra accessories. The brown is dark enough to work with nearly any shirt.
Striped trim looks good
I really like the way the striped collar looks against a plain white shirt. The inside lining is smooth over my long-sleeve shirts, which makes getting ready easier. I like pairing it with plain sneakers so the sleeves get attention. I've been trying to buy fewer one-occasion clothes, and this seems easy to wear for plenty of regular plans.
Better with thinner layers
I threw this on for a casual birthday gathering without planning an outfit first. The front stays neat when I button only the middle snaps. A bulky hoodie makes the shoulders feel a touch snug.
Cuffs stay put
I have narrow wrists, and loose cuffs are usually a problem with outerwear. The fabric feels pleasant for an afternoon of walking and sitting. It looks nice with olive pants and simple sneakers.
Favorite sleeve detail
My favorite part is the contrast at the sleeves, especially when the front is open. The snaps line up easily, so the front looks even when it's closed.
